THE NAKED BEAST AT HEAVEN'S GATE
Talent borrows, genius steals. Sampled P-funk basslines married to surreal lyrics, treated guitars becoming the death songs of hunted whales, songs of longing juxtaposed with words of longing for isolation. There is only one record in the world could ever sound like this. Photographed by Lightning is the band that made it.

MUSIC FROM THE EMPTY QUARTER
This is how protest music would have sounded had the nazis won the war. Torment, torture, total terror. A soundtrack to a world peopled by the defeated.
2 CDs of humanity struggling to escape brutality.
|
PRIMOGEN
The paranoid yet peaceful follow up to the brutality of Music From The Empty Quarter. It is difficult to believe it was made by the same group. Psalms to a technology tamed universe interspersed with faint memories of Don Van Vliet beamed through the pre-digital aether.

THE RISE AND FALL OF DUST BUG CECIL AND THE WINKING CATS
A concept album with no concept. Sharp pop songs that avoid the obvious only to encounter the concept of rhythm with the surprise of a runaway car penetrating your living room wall. Written by people who appear not to know where they are, where they belong but nevertheless are sat on the precipice laughing. If McCartney had been replaced by Manson this is the album they would have made. Features the single, 'Eyes On Stalks'.

LET ME EAT THE FLOWERS
Psychedelic pop songs. Tales of a life spent in front of the television, channels added by the second, greasing our journey to the grave by telling us how to think. Propaganda thrives on the lazy mind.
"Is that a meteor or just our lives crashing over the beautiful horizon?"

MOTHER PROTON WHORE
It's unlikely that your mother would be either amused or entertained by this. Solution: move out of your parents' house and get some semblance of a life. The music? It's nasty... listening to it is the equivalent of those thirty fated minutes before you ended up in the casualty unit... remember? The time it got serious...

REVOLUTION 666
Had this record been made in 1968 there is little doubt that naughty Charlie and his fraternity of murderous goblins would have superglued it to the turntable prior to getting all medieval on random and unfortunate people. A recording that reveals in all its filthy glory, the hidden malevolence the average listener would not realise lurks within the Fab Four's back catalogue.
|
BLOOD MUSIC
The soundtrack to a murderous cult two hundred years in the future. Be thankful you live now! The sound of an underage Thai prostitute being rubbed down with a bamboo cheese grater.
|
MUSIC FROM NOWHERE
Originally issued as Music For Strangers in a limited edition of just 23 copies and, as the title would suggest, and in far less interesting times, left at random locations around the UK, inc Devon, a Swansea to London Paddington train and a pub in Manchester. Reissued with some extra tracks of dark chilling ambience.

DESTROY THE WORLD WITH LOVE
A dream of walking up a familiar hill and once topping it being confronted with the unfamiliar - marble white ruins instead of slum buildings, pink flying saucers raining showers of tiny pink fluorescent swastikas on the streets, a world being infiltrated by spider gods from alien dimensions that divert human sexual instincts from the reproductive system to the alimentary canal...
..maybe we should have stayed off the mushrooms that year.

DOG DAYS
An early album from 1984. Contains the tracks 'Sleep's Terminator' and 'Winter Trees' which were released as a single by Fierce Records (home of the Pooh Sticks). Other material here was included on the album Neither Wings Nor Stones which has been kicking around in various guises but can be downloaded for free from here.
Additional material from a 'lost' album has been added to create a weird psychedelic other-worldly classic that has been lost in time.

ERICH ZANN
Originally a side-project of Photographed By Lightning, Erich Zann create dark ambient and ritualistic soundscapes ideally to be used as an aid for meditational and magickal practices.
Erich Zann performed a series of live rituals during the 90s in various scared places. Although most of these were recorded, the sound quality varies quite drastically. We are currently attempting to compile the best and most effective of these for possible release in 2011.

SONGS OF AMBIENT DARKNESS
Two long electronic pieces inspired by the works of H P Lovecraft. These pieces were intended for use with lucid dreaming exercises and skrying and are meant to complement the magickal pracices of groups working with Lovecraftian ideas in a ritual setting.
| COGNITIVE DISSONANCE
Dark ambient Lovecraftian magickscapes of layered sonic trance-doom krautrock chill. Evoking the sound of glaciers collapsing, a telephone exchange possessed by demonic voices or the primal Great Mother calling its brood back to the womb.
